Tell us a little bit more about the deciding factors that led you to book your day with us

We stumbled upon Cross Creek Ranch when we googled “all-inclusive wedding venues near me.” With our jobs, we knew we didn’t want to try to find all of our vendors on our own and pull it off just us. When we saw the pictures, Bekah just about cried because she wanted to be a Disney princess on our wedding day and it felt like the perfect place. We booked a tour right away. Bonnie was the one who showed us around. The grounds were stunning. We knew from photos that we were going to wind up at the Enchanted Forest for the ceremony, but seeing it in person just felt right. Bonnie walked ahead of us to the stable, and when we walked in, the string lights were on! Bekah teared up and we knew we had found the place. Bekah also loved that she could stay on property with her girls the night before and just wake up and get ready!

What was your inspiration for your wedding style?

We were going for a rustic fairytale theme. We were drawing on inspiration from the movie Tangled!

What was your inspiration for the colors you picked out?

Our main color was burgundy. After touring the venue and seeing how much greenery was around, we thought a deep color would look really nice, plus our wedding was in October and it felt like the perfect fall color! We also went with blush and greenery – we just thought they complemented the burgundy nicely.

What were some of your must-haves for your wedding day?

One of Bekah’s must haves was a You Should Be Here table. Cross Creek helped find the perfect display during the design meeting and on the day of, photos of the bride and her loved ones were placed just outside the ceremony entrance. We also found a way to hang 3 lanterns with candles from our arbor as a nod to them. Alta, our florist, also helped to ensure a thumbprint from Bekah’s Aunt was secured around her bouquet. The sparkler send-off was also a must have for both of us!

How did you make the day feel personal to you and Chad?

We made sure to include elements of things we both love. For Bekah, incorporating little Disney elements was a must, our toasting glasses, cake cutting set, Up guest book, and cake topper. For Chad it was the cigar bar during the reception, and all his beers he chose with ABC Wine & Spirits. For us as a couple, having it feel outdoorsy and being in the forest was the perfect touch for us as we both love being outdoors.

What was your inspiration behind your wedding attire? What about your wedding party attire?

Bekah wanted to be a Disney princess. Her dress had that rustic princess feel to it. One of her favorite details were the lace flowers. (The dress was from Kleinfeld) Chad wanted his suit to feel classy and elegant. (It was from Men’s Wearhouse) For the wedding party, Chad wanted the guys to match him, and Bekah had given the girls the color but let them pick the dress style they liked the best for them.

Where did you go to customize your wedding stationary?

The Knot! We built a wedding website with them for free and they had stationary that matched our site, which was perfect because even the website was a rustic theme. We only did Save the Dates, the invite and an info card. RSVPs were online only.

What was your favorite moment of the day?

Chad’s favorite moment was when Bekah first walked down the aisle – that’s when it was real for him. Bekah’s favorite moment was our private last dance when everyone was getting ready for the sparkler exit. The day went so fast that it felt like we could slow down and just have that moment to ourselves.

What helped inspire you as you were planning your wedding?

We chose things that felt like everyday life to us – Disney, the outdoors, beer/cigars. Everything we had at our wedding was a reflection of us.

Anything else you would like to mention about your wedding day?

One of the things we loved most was getting to have time to each other before going into the reception. It was nice to enjoy some of our appetizers and have some champagne before making our entrance. Bekah also loved getting to stay at the French Country Inn the night before with her bridesmaids. It provided for some nice girl time and it was beautiful there! We also enjoyed spending the day in the Main House! The bonfire was also a great touch – fun to hang around and also for portrait photos We also want to give a hugeeeee shoutout to our vendors – they made us feel absolutely incredible. Rad Red Creative captured our day better than we could have imagined, and they felt like our friends cheering us on rather than just the photographers and videographers. Haleigh and Casey from Femme Akoi made Bekah feel like a princess. ABC Wine & Spirits made sure we had our drinks of choice. Catered by Vesh provided outstanding food. Alessi Bakery made our dream cake and we are already counting down until we go back and get a small version for our anniversary. Alta provided the most gorgeous bouquets and boutonnières, and Tom from Grant Hemond was great! And of course, everyone at Cross Creek, ya’ll became what felt like our second family and we miss you so much! Our day would not have been as special and amazing without all of our incredible vendors!
