Jessica and Joseph infused their favorite elements and all the pretty florals into their Elegant Garden Wedding design and it was a DREAM. This intimate celebration was full of romantic hues of green and cream which paired beautifully with the lush backdrop of the French Country Inn. Tell us a little bit more about the deciding factors that led you to book your day with us?
We loved the general vibe of Cross Creek Ranch and that it had multiple options of venues for us to choose from. The relaxed outdoor atmosphere, guest count and pricing led us to choose the French Country Inn.
What was your inspiration for your wedding style?
There were two drivers (and a lot of Pin-spiration) that went into the look – we wanted the day to feel outdoorsy yet classy, which the open air venue of the French Country Inn was perfect for. Everything else fell into place once we knew that, the more natural colors, the white roses, small amounts of metallic elements, etc.
What was your inspiration for the colors you picked out?
We wanted something natural yet classy, green is also a shared favorite color between Joseph and I. Green also was a color that all the bridal party would look good in.
How did you feel about your design meeting?
It was pretty painless given that we both were on the same page in terms of looks and have pretty good design eyes. We were both satisfied with the options presented.
What were some of your must-haves for your wedding day?
There were some must-have photos that I told our photographer I wanted (in front of the gates, with family). Other than that, we just wanted to make sure everyone had a fun time – good food, drinks and music.
How did you make the day feel personal to you?
There was a lot of personalization – I brought crystal toast glasses from my brother’s wedding, we had a Jenga guest book for our love of games, we had a crossword/word search puzzle for the guests not to mention that Joseph and I did our vows separate from the ceremony. Joseph’s groomswoman actually lent me a family necklace of hers for my bouquet, which was really sweet. My grandmother said a prayer during the ceremony on behalf of my grandfather who had passed.
What was your inspiration behind your wedding attire? What about your wedding party attire?
I think what was important when it came to the girl’s attire was that they got to choose a dress style that fit them best – I gave them the dark green dress color and they picked a dress they liked from Azazie.
The guy’s attire was easy because Joseph wanted light grey suits for the guys, which came from Men’s Wearhouse.
My dress came from White Closet Bridal – it was classic in its lines but had some attitude as well.
Where did you go to customize your wedding stationery?
We bought pre-made stationary off of Etsy. We also had a friend custom make watercolor posters of our pets for the dessert and drink areas.
What was your favorite moment of the day?
Getting married LOL! But after that, it was probably once the ceremony was done and Joseph and I were able to relax and take in the view of the venue and the guests. The sun was streaming through trees in such a perfect way, the air was crisp, family and friends were meeting and getting to know each other. it was a perfect moment.
What helped inspire you as you were planning your Elegant Garden Wedding?
Lots of Pinteresting! Talking with friends and coworkers about what they had seen. Going to other weddings and seeing what other brides had done.
Anything else you would like to mention about your wedding day?
I don’t really have a favorite because everything flowed together so perfectly, I couldn’t have imagined it being a better day.
