Modern-Elegant Wedding | Carriage House Stable | 100 guests
Bethany + Peter’s wedding day was a Modern-Elegant dream. From start to finish, there was not a missed detail in this love story. Their color palette of taupe and ivory with pops of burgundy, blended stunningly against the natural elements of the Enchanted Forest. The Carriage House Stable was draped with white linen, to enhance this simple, but elegant vibe which was completed with gold accents. This sweet and fun couple led their guests on the dance floor, under the sparkle lights, all night long! As always, B + P gave us an inside look into their inspiration, vision, and overall personal style for their unforgettable event captured by RadRed Creative.
What drew you to Cross Creek Ranch? What were the deciding factors that led you to booking your day with us?
We were originally drawn to the property because of the lush, manicured grounds and a variety of natural settings offered throughout. The care and attention from the team at Cross Creek was ultimately the deciding factor. We knew that whatever we envisioned for our day, everyone involved would make it happen.
What was your inspiration for your wedding style?
Our inspiration was a cross between a classic elegant wedding and the beautiful environment in which it was set. We wanted to keep colors neutral and classic.
What was your inspiration for the colors you picked out?
Our colors were originally chosen for autumn but when the date was changed to May due to Covid-19 regulations, we decided to keep the colors because the tones reminded us of the warm and comforting atmosphere that engulfs our relationships with friends and family. We love warm and cozy tones and the colors of Cross Creeks grounds add to the beauty of our color palette.
How did you feel about your design meeting?
We left our design meeting feeling very excited and full of anticipation. The team made making choices a breeze without including too much opinion. We felt free to make decisions and were met with great advice when we asked for it. The way each element was presented to us, with options and upgrades was a lot of fun. By the end of the meeting we were able to see a mock table with all our design choices incorporated. It made everything feel so real and it was great to know that everything we chose looked great together. We were finished before we knew it and we were confident that we had put together our dream wedding.
What were some of your must-haves for your wedding day?
We knew we needed a videographer, and RadRed was a great choice because they know the Cross Creek grounds so well. The day goes so fast so it was important for us to have recorded memories of the things we didn’t get to see. The photo booth option was an add on but now we can’t imagine the wedding without it; it allowed us to see how much fun our guests had and we even got a phot album made by Cross Creek with all of the photos taken in the photo booth.
How did the day feel personal to you both?
We made our wedding day about us. We did everything we wanted how we wanted to do it and didn’t allow outside sources to tell us otherwise. We played music we liked, made a menu we loved, and made sure Cross Creek knew we wanted to party! Cross Creek made us feel like a king and queen, everything was about us and if anything went wrong, neither of us knew about it!
What was your inspiration behind your wedding attire?
We wanted to keep it modern yet classic. Black suits with bow ties is such a clean and classic look that can never look bad. The bridesmaids were dressed in different colored fall tones which we think really brought the overall fall look. Suits were from Mens Wearhouse, and bridesmaid dresses were from Davids Bridal.
Where did you go to customize your wedding stationary?
We used Minted because of the variety of designs and level of customization. Once we found the design that fit our style, we were able to theme all stationary together.
What was your favorite moment of the day?
Our favorite moment of the day was a short break after the ceremony when we were taken back to the cottage for some alone time while everyone enjoyed cocktail hour. There were drinks already there for us and hors d’oeuvres for us to eat as we enjoyed our first moments as a married couple. It was an undisturbed oasis of time which we continue to reminisce to this day.
What helped inspire you as you were planning your wedding?
We used Cross Creek’s Instagram page a lot to look at design ideas as well as RadReds photo albums from other weddings they had shot. We are both pretty easy and knew no matter what, Cross Creek would have plenty of design ideas if we were stuck! We didn’t really stress that much about planning because we knew everything would be taken care of by the Cross Creek team.
Is there anything else you’d like to mention about your wedding day?
I can’t stress enough about how happy we both are with our decision to go with an all-inclusive venue like Cross Creek. Literally everything was perfect. We have never felt so cared for or important, I’m not sure we ever will again. The amount of support and resources provided from start to finish is incredible, and unlike many couples on their wedding day, neither of us dealt with any stress or anxiety. Everyday we wish we would relive our wedding day, and we wouldn’t change one thing about it.
