You can be confident that the team at Cross Creek Ranch will meticulously manage every detail of your wedding. Let’s start with answers to some commonly asked questions.

> What is the maximum number of guests for weddings/receptions?

Cross Creek Ranch can accommodate 150 at The Carriage House Stable and 60 at The French Country Inn, including bride & groom.

> What time do you schedule weddings?

Most weddings begin between 4-5pm, depending on the time of sunset. All events end no later than 10pm.

> Can I use my own vendors?

As an all-inclusive wedding venue, you must use our approved vendors for all catering (including food and wedding cake), florist, DJs, service staff, cigar rollers, photo booths, coordinators and horse & carriage. You may choose your own officiant, photographer and videographer.

> How will I select flowers?

Following our initial design meeting, a fresh floral designer will set up a consultation. The “fresh flower allowance” on your contract is only an estimate meant to cover the cost of personal flowers (bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres). Fresh flower prices vary depending on the season. Our florist will give you a complete quote once your selections have been made and your invoice will be adjusted accordingly.

> How and When is the rehearsal scheduled?

Every effort is made to accommodate your rehearsal the day before the wedding, but it cannot conflict with an event already scheduled. A representative from CCR will contact you about one month prior to your wedding to schedule your rehearsal time. The venue and coordinator will be reserved for a one-hour rehearsal, so please be sure everyone arrives on time.

> Who are your DJs?

For receptions in the Carriage House Stable, we choose the services of Grant Hemond and Associates. Trusted in the wedding industry since 1985, they have a Black Diamond Rating (highest possible) from Wedding Wire and The Knot has included them in their Best of Wedding Hall of Fame.

At the French Country Inn, we’ve been proud to offer the expert services of DJ Rick Mellum since 2006. Previously Rick was an on-air personality with the local NBC television affiliate.

> Can you recommend an officiant?

If you don’t already have an officiant for your ceremony, Cross Creek Ranch has both notaries and ministers available. They will meet with you about one month prior to your wedding to discuss details. Pricing starts at $250.

> Must I provide a seating chart for guest tables at the reception?

Seating charts are required to ensure that everyone has a place setting at the reception. To make things easy, we’ll send you a template about six weeks before your wedding. Just give us a list of names, along with the table where they’ll be seated, and we’ll do the rest.

> Where will I get ready for my wedding?

The bridal dressing area will be at the Guest Cottage unless other arrangements have been made. The bride and bridesmaids should arrive 2 hours before the ceremony with hair and makeup done. The bridesmaids arrive in their dresses. The bride will slip into her gown in the Guest Cottage and then be ready to have pre-ceremony photos taken.

Ask about the rental of our Main House where you and your bridesmaids can get completely ready the day of your wedding.

If you desire the additional pampering of hair and makeup artists on your wedding day, our staff will be happy to arrange a consultation during the planning of your event.

The “Man Cave” will be ready for the groom and groomsmen 1-1/2 hours before the ceremony begins. All men should come dressed, ready for photos. Due to limited space, the Man Cave can only accommodate the groom, groomsmen, pastor, ring bearer and bride’s/groom’s fathers.

> Are there overnight accommodations at Cross Creek Ranch?

Three months prior to your wedding and pending availability, you may reserve a stay at our Bed & Breakfast for you and your bridal party. Check-in is 3:00pm the day before your wedding. Wedding morning breakfast is provided at 9am for the brides and bridesmaids. You can spend the day getting ready for your big event, even bringing in hair and make-up artists. Lodging is for up to six guests.

> Can I arrive by horse and carriage?

A horse and carriage can be arranged to deliver the bride over the bridge to the ceremony and to whisk away the couple immediately afterwards. The horse and carriage is also available for photo opportunities immediately after the ceremony.

> What’s the plan in case of rain or mosquitoes?

Cross Creek Ranch is an outdoor venue, so this is a natural question. All booked events will be held, rain or shine.
In the case of a light shower, you may choose to slightly delay the start of your wedding until the rain passes over. For persistent rain, most weddings can be moved under the covering of the stable, with ceremonies performed on the dance floor and guests seated at tables.

Before each event, the area is treated for mosquitoes and insect repellant devices are hidden throughout. Additional insect repellant is always available at the bar.

> What hotels do you recommend for my out-of-town guests?

Cross Creek Ranch works closely with Hilton Garden Inn (813-626-6700) and Sheraton Tampa East (813-623-6363).
Both are within a ten-minute drive from Cross Creek Ranch and will provide complimentary shuttle transportation for members of the wedding party to and from the wedding (may require minimum nights booked). CCR and these hotels provide your guests with a goodie bag (yes, you can add items) in each room.

> Are there directions I can give my guests?

> What is the deadline for final guest count and payment?

Cross Creek Ranch must have your final guest count no later than two weeks prior to your wedding date. This final count is a guaranteed minimum number and cannot be lowered. Let us know immediately if the headcount increases so we can make necessary arrangements. Additional fees for extra guests will be applied and must be paid in cash before the wedding rehearsal.
